Annotation. In this article the dynamics of cargo turnover of sea ports of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region is considered for the period from 1999 to 2018, the impact of the activity of these seaports on the importance of the domestic regional product and Russia's GDP was studied.

Annotation. High-quality transport infrastructure is one of the key elements of the modern economy. Currently, the development of transport infrastructure is of particular importance in the context of globalization of transport processes. Due to the deterioration in an ecological situation, caused by operation of a large number of liquid-fuel vehicles, heads of certain Russian regions try to solve an environmental problem replacement of traditional diesel buses with electrobus. In this case before the management of regions there is a difficult task: What to choose as a main type of public city transport – the traditional bus about DVS or the electrobus.
