Dear readers! You are holding the combined issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal, in which we have collected materials for July and August 2026. It brings together practice and theory, applied solutions and bold methodological explorations.
Dear readers! We are pleased to present you with the sixth issue of the journal for 2026, in which the theory and practice of logistics are explored in a variety of relevant areas. This issue is truly multifaceted, combining reflections on the essence of logistics processes with applied calculations and industry-specific cases.
Dear readers! This is the fifth issue of the LOGISTICS journal, dedicated to the current challenges of modern logistics.
Annotation. The article presents an in – depth analysis of the evolution of the fundamental categories of logistics – «value» and «flow». The authors carry out an interdisciplinary synthesis. The work reveals the three-stage nature of the material flow and substantiates its dualism as a carrier of physical substance and economic value. The author deduces the concept of «value potential» and economic efficiency of the material flow. A system of metrics based on resource profitability and logistics capital management is proposed and substantiated.
Annotation. This article presents a set of developments for implementing combined vaccine delivery planning, including an organizational and economic model, methods for rationing logistics resources and developing delivery methods, and a model for selecting an optimized delivery option. The vaccine delivery plan developed using these solutions reduces logistics costs while fully implementing the delivery plan within the established timeframe and resource constraints.
Key words. Vaccine cold chains, delivery methods, combined planning, resource rationing, balanced delivery volume.
Annotation. The paper examines modern approaches to the digital transformation of the procurement function and the constraints on implementing intelligent systems in corporate procurement. It traces the evolution of automation tools from Robotic Process Automation to low code platforms and AI agents, and identifies organizational barriers. A step by step approach to procurement digitalization is proposed.
Key words. Procurement digital transformation, RPA, low-code, AI agents, intelligent systems, corporate procurement, data, legacy systems, user experience, process automation.
Annotation. The relevance of developing a set of methods, models, and algorithms for managing logistics risks in the supply chains of oil and gas sector enterprises, which together constitute the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) methodology, has been demonstrated. The causes and main factors influencing the occurrence of disruptions in the supply chains of these enterprises have been analyzed and identified. The main principles and an expanded structure of the SCRM methodology have been formulated. The key advantages of the proposed methodology have been demonstrated.
Annotation. The article analyses the necessity of synchronising logistics processes against the backdrop of unstable macroeconomic conditions. Particular attention is given to the specifics of intermodal container transportation. A multi‑level, step‑by‑step synchronisation model is proposed to ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders.
Key words. Intermodality, containers, synchronization, logistics system, sustainability.
Annotation. The article critically analyzes the translation of «Supply Chain Management» (SCM) into Russian. Following an investigation of the concept’s foundational literature, the study justifies a refined translation of the term as «Management of Supply Chains», based on the fundamental categories of supply and demand and M. Porter’s value chain theory.
Key words. Logistics, SCM, management of supply chains, material flow, value chain, value stream, activity-based approach, capital theory, economic ontology, business processes, economic flow, margin potential, systemic efficiency.
Annotation. This article presents a concept for combined vaccine delivery planning, which focuses on using various delivery methods to ensure timely replenishment of vaccines within the vaccination schedule at minimal cost while respecting resource and budget constraints. The developed analytical expressions can be used to formulate optimal delivery options for both routine and emergency immunization.
Key words. Vaccine cold chain, optimal delivery plan, combined planning, logistics resources, cost minimization.
Annotation. The article presents the results of a comprehensive critical analysis of the theory and practice of logistics and supply chain management (SCM). The paper substantiates the author's system of seven principles for designing supply chains. The scientific novelty lies in the development of the concept of an «ideal» supply chain based on the use of an optimal inventory level and the maximization of the profitability of immobilized funds (capital) in the material flow.
Annotation. The article examines the supply chain as a complex adaptive system (CAS). Based on the analysis of the Red Sea crisis (2024) and the Toyota case (2011), the «BPM–CAS Supply Chain» model with a KPI system is substantiated. The model enables determining the type of required adaptation based on the values of key performance indicators. The solution is applicable for enhancing the resilience of global and regional supply chains.
Key words. Supply chain, complex adaptive system, process approach, BPM, SCM, resilience, KPI.
Annotation. The article on the importance of increasing the sustainability and reliability of supply chains in an unstable economy is shown. The distinctive characteristics of the concepts related to the sustainability and reliability of the supply chain are identified. The main ways of increasing the sustainability of the supply chain in the context of the ESG paradigm are presented. A digital platform for managing the sustainability and reliability of the supply chain is proposed.
