Dear friends! We present to your attention the fifth issue of Logistics for 2024. Like you, our dear readers, we see an increasing trend of digitalization and automation of the logistics industry, and more and more authors are paying attention to it.
In the literature often envisaged the issue of the functions of tourism as a form of social and economic activities. But for the positive impact on the individual and the economy, falls on deaf ears the main function of tourism, which consists in the communication of tourists with tourism resources in an extended sense. As well as in the sphere of transport service and the mass media, communication is a kind of metafunction of tourism, which integrates and mediates the implementation of its other functions.
The American scientists have established influence of global warming on flight technical characteristics of modern aircraft, and this influence not in favor of planes. Temperature increase of air on the planet is one more powerful argument for wider use of airships.

Most major corporations of the Russian Federation consider railway logistics as non-core function. As a consequence, the development of this function is hindered, investments are made, mainly to repair wagons, locomotives and railways or to purchase new wagons instead of worn out to maintain economic security of business. However, there are organizational and software-technical solutions that could make a breakthrough in this area in terms of increasing the productivity of logistics assets and reducing specific logistics costs.
The article is devoted to the methods of development management in the system of logistics business processes of the seaport based on the implementation of modular changes to achieve the best parameters in selected areas of development and, ultimately, to obtain the specified target port development targets.
