The paper presents the evolution of models and methods of logistics. The introduction of this tool due to automation of production processes was the basis for the formation of logistics concepts and strategies implemented by modern organizations. Particular emphasis is placed on principles of logistics, without which it is impossible to take effective logistics solutions.

On optimization of the region's logistics infrastructure

The paper discusses the problem of improving the logistics infrastructure of the regions of the Russian Federation. The problems of optimization of the warehouse and transport infrastructure of the region are considered, mathematical models of the corresponding elements of the logistics infrastructure are explored. An approach to solving optimization problems is proposed.

Study on effects of the accepted Incoterms basic terms of delivery and financial procedures in foreign trade activities on the "in time delivery"

In present article were considered the financial interactions factors under contract in international transport communication and factors influence on terms of delivery choice. The terms of delivery decision-making algorithm, recommendation under terms of payment (specific example) and corresponding conclusions were developed by author.

On the assessment of the logistics companies performance based on the model of the company production function

The questions assess the activities of logistics companies from the standpoint of quality, efficiency and Economics based on the proposed model of the production function in the form of a convex upward monotonous dependence with saturation, approximated by a hyperbola. Proposed procedure for determining the economically justified level of effort of the company for the provision of transport services, as well as methods of multi-criteria evaluation and selection strategy for improvement of logistics activities, using method of hierarchy analysis.
