On its pages, we summarize the results of the international exhibition of logistics, transport, warehouse equipment and Logistika Expo, which became the main premiere of this year. Our editorial staff took part in the event, as a result of which they made useful acquaintances and found new readers. In the latest issue, we continue the topic of automation and robotization in the industry.
Dear friends! We present to your attention the fifth issue of Logistics for 2024. Like you, our dear readers, we see an increasing trend of digitalization and automation of the logistics industry, and more and more authors are paying attention to it.
Annotation. The article analyzes the macroeconomic indicators of the development of Belarus. The necessity of access to the sea for Belarusian exporters has been substantiated. The criteria for choosing a seaport for intercontinental cargo transportation have been determined. The characteristics and comparative analysis of the seaports closest to Belarus are given.

Annotation. The article considers the necessity, possibility and result of organizing the Berlin air bridge in 1948–1949 using historical materials. The relevance of the topic in modern conditions is emphasized.

Annotation. The expediency and effi ciency of the introduction of mobile block sections and virtual couplings, which allow to optimize the interval regulation of train traffic, reduce inter-train intervals, reduce the cost of electricity for traction, as well as the cost of infrastructure maintenance, are shown. The economic aspects of the introduction of these innovations are revealed.

Annotation. Today the urgency of the problem of taxi passenger transportation in large Metropolitan areas and beyond is due to the existing market realities, which do not suit either passengers or businesses engaged in this field. In the current reality, it is difficult to ensure good quality of services, fair competition and a proper level of security.
Annotation. During the blockade of Leningrad, which lasted from September 8, 1941 to January 18, 1944, the main logistics route connecting the blockade city with the Big Land passed along the territory of the Leningrad Region and Lake Ladoga free of the enemy. The use of this route allowed to deliver to the population and troops everything necessary to achieve victory over the enemy. Nowadays, the land part of the blockade logistics route is marked with commemorative kilometer pillars with the inscription «Road of Life».
Annotation. The analysis of barriers to the development of accelerated container transportation in the Eurasian space reveals the problems of cargo downtime at the Belarusian-Polish border crossing. A possible solution could be the redistribution of trains along the new route – through the Kaliningrad TLC (transport logistic center). The theoretical significance of the work lies in the analysis of existing freight routes in the Eurasian space and the search for new effective solutions for continued economic growth.
Annotation. In this article there is the option of optimizing the procurement process in logistics by using a tool for the distribution of proposals, taking into account all the limitations and opportunities. This tool was developed due to the complexity of the process of selecting the optimal scenario among many offers.
Annotation. The article analyzes the European experience of creating and functioning a transcontinental transport and logistics system on the example of Portugal in the period from 1961 to 1974.

Annotation. The article considers and defines the concepts of freight forwarder and carrier, including by type of transport. The principal differences between a freight forwarder and a carrier are accumulated and formulated. A brief analysis of the differences in the rights and obligations, as well as the responsibility of the freight forwarder and the carrier under the contract of freight forwarding and cargo transportation is considered and carried out.
