Economic and geographical prerequisites to organize a logistics center in the Arkhangelsk region

The article provides the reasons for creating a logistics centre in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The authors assume that the logistics centre should be located in Arkhangelsk region and make analysis of cargo flows between Europe and Asia, as well as the infrastructure potential and resource base in the region.

This article presents an analysis of the dynamics of the complex of cargo terminals of the port Ust-Luga, considered the competitive opportunities in comparison with other cargo terminals of the northwest of Russia, the values of the share of cargo turnover of the port Ust-Luga, as well as the share of export cargoes among all sea ports of Russia.

A classification of the risks of a logistic industrial park (LIP) based on the reasons for their occurrence is proposed. The main directions of risk management of LIP are formulated. Improvement of the logistics infrastructure for the subjects of the Russian Federation in the strategies of their development

Identified the general problems of the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the regions of the Russian Federation. The variant of the decision of a problem of a choice of places of accommodation of logistical objects of a various class and purposes the type of services provided in territory of administrative-territorial units (areas) of subjects of federation allowing to form and perfection a transport-logistical infrastructure of regions, leaning against in strategy of their economic development is offered.
