Schemes and algorithms for automatic sorting in the warehouse: rational choice of the number of sorter channels

Annotation. The article determines the specific cost of sorting and the optimal number of sorting channels for the following commodity sorting algorithms: one-stage with, continuous feed to the conveyor from the reception; multi-stage with continuous supply to the conveyor from the receiving station; multi-stage with periodic feeding to the conveyor from the acceptance; multi-stage with complex sorting; two-stage with pre-sorting. The dependence of the daily capacity of the sorter on the number of channels is shown.

Application of block-chain and smart contract technologies in sea transportation

Annotation. In present article the practices of using innovative blockchain transport technologies and smart contracts in Maritime transport are examined, companies that provide logistics services using these technologies are analyzed, successful examples of their implementation are also presented.

The Problem of Supply Chain Visibility and the Use of the Supply Chain Control Tower Concept

Annotation. The importance and competitive advantages of digital transformation of supply chains using cognitive IT-platforms are shown. The need to develop the flexibility, dynamism and visibility of supply chains based on the use of the concept / technology of Supply Chain Control Tower – SCCT is proved. The problems of visibility in the supply chain are considered as the main imperative of SCCT implementation for the purpose of control and monitoring of parameters of goods and transport flows.

Features of business processes automation in the warehouse of perishable food products

Annotation. The article is devoted to the important task of grocery retail – how to automate a warehouse with short shelf life food products? The solution of this task lies both in the description of business processes specific to any food warehouse and in the use of IT instruments, particularly WMS. The article presents an example of this kind of automation, describes how business processes already work in the implemented warehouse management system. The result of study is a ready working model that can be used as an instance for the implementation of similar projects.
