This paper describes the approach of modeling a regional network of vehicle fleets for a given warehouse network. The methodology enables to consider delivery of various goods by different means. The proposed model allows to determine optimal placement of vehicle fleets on the territory of region of the Russian Federation.

The article discusses options of delivery of foreign goods from China to the European part of Russia. The main advantages and disadvantages of transportation through the port of Novorossiysk are identified. The development of new transport and technological delivery schemes of cargoes from China through the port of Novorossiysk is considered.

An article presents the analysis of available analytical decisions for interaction of railways and sea transport in port transshipment complexes. As an example the large port terminal is considered. Author explores the influence of work organization and port terminal capacity on creating of queues of railway and marine transport.

One of the features in the development of international shipping is the formation of hub ports in global supply chains. Hub ports are analyzed in two aspects: both as node elements of supply chain and as elements of transport system development. Largest sea ports of the Baltic sea region are presented in the article; major tendencies of port infrastructure development are defined.

Trans-Siberian railway connects Russian western, northern, southern ports and European railway outlets with Pacific ports and Asian railway outlets. Transit traffic between Europe and South East Asia is increasing. Therefore, development of a land bridge from South Korea to Western Europe via Russia comes into importance. Trans-Siberian railway is actually existing transport corridor. It passes through the Russian area and capable to meet the needs of the Eurasian cargo companies.
