Annotation. In all production and economic processes there is necessarily a fuel component represented by financial costs for fuel purchase. The transport of goods is no exception. The value of the fuel component has a direct impact on the profitability of freight transport, including river transport. One of the real directions of increasing the profitability of freight transportation is the reduction of this component.

Annotation. The transport and logistics services industry has been one of the driving forces of the national economy for a long time. The favorable geographical position on the way of movement of goods flows from Asia to Europe makes the territory of Russia a kind of logistics hub for storing and moving goods from China to the countries of Europe and America.
Annotation. The article considers new environmental requirements for bunker fuel, which from January 1, 2020 limit the permissible sulfur content to 0,5%. These measures can have a negative impact on the economic situation of domestic producers of petroleum products.

Annotation. The place of the oil industry in the economy of the Republic of Belarus is determined. Variants of oil delivery schemes to oil refineries and oil supply routes are proposed. The factors and limitations that should be considered when choosing oil suppliers are identified. An assessment of the logistics costs associated with the delivery of oil to refineries. The conclusion is drawn on the need to diversify oil supplies to Belarus.
