Dear readers! This is the fifth issue of the LOGISTICS journal, dedicated to the current challenges of modern logistics.
Dear readers! We present you a new issue of the magazine dedicated to current logistics issues.
Dear readers! We present you the third issue of the journal dedicated to current issues in the logistics industry.
Annotation. The relevance of the study is due to the intensive use of information technology in logistics, and therefore it is necessary to identify the main events that characterize their origin and subsequent dynamics. It is established that logistics intellectualization is a complex process combining the development of mathematical optimization methods, computer technology, and communication and navigation systems.
Key words. Digital technologies in logistics, logistics intellectualization, information technology, optimization methods, logistics evolution.
Annotation. The article on the importance of increasing the sustainability and reliability of supply chains in an unstable economy is shown. The distinctive characteristics of the concepts related to the sustainability and reliability of the supply chain are identified. The main ways of increasing the sustainability of the supply chain in the context of the ESG paradigm are presented. A digital platform for managing the sustainability and reliability of the supply chain is proposed. The features of using a continuum of digital technologies, particularly big data analytics and artificial intelligence, in managing the sustainability and reliability of multi-tiered network structures are revealed.
Key words. Supply chain, digital transformation, sustainability, reliability, big data, artificial intelligence, multi-tiered structure.
Annotation. The article examines the supply chain as a complex adaptive system (CAS). Based on the analysis of the Red Sea crisis (2024) and the Toyota case (2011), the «BPM–CAS Supply Chain» model with a KPI system is substantiated. The model enables determining the type of required adaptation based on the values of key performance indicators. The solution is applicable for enhancing the resilience of global and regional supply chains.
Key words. Supply chain, complex adaptive system, process approach, BPM, SCM, resilience, KPI.
Annotation. The article presents the results of a comprehensive critical analysis of the theory and practice of logistics and supply chain management (SCM). The paper substantiates the author's system of seven principles for designing supply chains. The scientific novelty lies in the development of the concept of an «ideal» supply chain based on the use of an optimal inventory level and the maximization of the profitability of immobilized funds (capital) in the material flow.
Key words. Logistics, supply chain management, material flow, alternative value, value addition chain, alternativity, supply chain reconfiguration, material flow initiation, SCM 4.0.
Annotation. This article presents a concept for combined vaccine delivery planning, which focuses on using various delivery methods to ensure timely replenishment of vaccines within the vaccination schedule at minimal cost while respecting resource and budget constraints. The developed analytical expressions can be used to formulate optimal delivery options for both routine and emergency immunization.
Key words. Vaccine cold chain, optimal delivery plan, combined planning, logistics resources, cost minimization.
Annotation. The development of freight delivery services in urban areas requires extremely high speeds, minimal mileage, safety, and cargo security. This challenge can be addressed by converting the traditional two-way traffic system to a one-way system under the same road conditions.
Key words. List mile, oneway trafic, time on route, velosity, mileage, efficientcy.
Annotation. The study presents a hybrid artificial intelligence architecture for predicting the remaining travel time of freight trains, taking into account multiple factors. Experiments on a sample of 12 000 trains showed that the mean absolute error is 21–26% more accurate than existing methods.
Key words. Time prediction; artificial intelligence; hybrid models.
Annotation. This article examines the theoretical foundations of infrastructure system resilience, analyzes international experience in assessing the resilience of transport facilities, and identifies the methodological limitations of existing approaches. A model for the integrated resilience index (SRI) is proposed. An algorithm for standardizing and weighting indicators is developed, ensuring comparability of facilities of various sizes. The model is tested, and the cost-effectiveness of implementing a resilience assessment system is assessed.
Key words. Transport and logistics infrastructure, sustainability, assessment, digital platform, infrastructure management, investment planning, logistics systems.
Annotation. This article presents the results of an analysis of the sunflower oil market conditions in the Republic of Crimea. These materials may be of practical interest to investors and entrepreneurs whose interests affect potentially developing markets while ensuring national food security.
Key words. Sunflower oil, market, resources, sunflower seeds, processing, demand, supply, production logistics
Annotation. This article focuses on identifying viable pricing niches and product differentiators to ensure the resilience of a fragrance brand amid structural market transformation. The practical significance of this research lies in minimizing financial risks associated with new product launches.
Key words. Russian perfume market, marketing strategy, local brand, entry economics, import substitution, financial sustainability.
