Lean production has in its Arsenal a huge amount of effective tools and methods for reducing the main types of losses. Those who are acquainted with lean production recently, such a number and variety of instruments raises many questions, e.g. in what cases and what tools to use. The complexity of these tools increases significantly when they are applied on machinebacon production, and in related fields, such as in warehouse logistics. How to reduce losses in the warehouse, applying the tools and techniques of lean manufacturing, says this article.
The article deals with design and technological solutions related to the management of stocks trading companies based 4PL-use approach. It shows the possibility of the management structure of the LC 4PL-provider, implementing coordination functions, including inventory management. The models and design solutions for inventory management for the distributor of home appliances and electronics.

Optimization of simulation model of the picking process was made. Developed optimized logical-mathematical model can be used to calculate the performance of the process of picking with regard to the ABC-analysis.
