The third issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020 has been published

Dear readers! We present the third issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020 to your attention. We dedicated the issue to transport logistics and were preparing it for the Transrossia 2020 exhibition, which was planned to be held in April. However, due to well-known reasons related to the worldwide spread of a new coronavirus infection, the organizers decided to postpone the event to August. Dear readers, we hope that at the end of the future summer we will meet with you at our booth at the exhibition, where you will be able to get acquainted with this and other issues of the journal.

According to the established tradition, most of part of the issue is occupied with the articles devoted to information technologies. Thus Vasily Gomzin, a leading consultant for AXELOT, informs about the nuances of maintaining the information systems in logistics. To bring together theory and practice in the field of digital technologies in logistics is the task set by S2B Group, a developer of the software for transport logistics. The company has launched a new direction - a series of free conferences for consignors (details are in the issue). 

Lately, we have been talking and hearing a lot about remote systems for managing the operational business. The current situation with coronavirus and the growing trend of working from home shows the real readiness of these systems in practice. It is this problem that Alexey Bogdanov, General Director of Silva LLC, discusses in his article.

Our authors Viktor Sergeev, Igor Sergeev, Ksenia Khlobystova consider the problem of supply chain visibility and the use of the Supply Chain Control Tower concept, showing the importance and competitive advantages of digital transformation using cognitive IT platforms. To continue the topic, Vladimir Prokhorov, Pavel Vasiliev, and Elizaveta Zhguleva raise the problem to use blockchain and smart contract technologies in sea transportation, showing successful examples of their implementation.
