Dear readers! In September the CeMAT RUSSIA exhibition was held, which showed everyone that innovations and robotics are increasingly penetrating the logistics industry. We can safely say that many technologies are tested here, and only then they go out into the world. However, it is not only CeMAT RUSSIA that demonstrates the prevalence of the digital agenda.
Two years ago the company Oboronlogistics opened flight connection between Arkhangelsk and Novaya Zemlya. The first air flight, organized by the company on the route Arkhangelsk - Rogachevo (Novaya Zemlya) - Arkhangelsk took place on October 9, 2017.
Since then 125 flights were carried out, 250 tons of cargo were delivered, more than 5.5 thousand passengers were transported, including more than 2.5 thousand passengers according to military transport documents in the interests of the Russian defense Ministry.
Charter flights from Arkhangelsk to the archipelago are carried out 3 times a week. Initially the flights were carried out on aircraft An-24/26. From July 2019 flights are carried out on Tu-134 aircraft, which significantly improved passenger service and reduced the flight time to 1 hour 30 minutes.
In addition, the capabilities of the Tu-134 aircraft allow an additional load of up to 5 tons of food to provide the inhabitants of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.
The Russian defense Ministry interested in the reliability of transport links with Novaya Zemlya. The increase in flights is aimed at improve the transport accessibility of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago for military personnel, their families and civilian specialists engaged in the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
