Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. As of January 1st, 2016, the Ehrhardt + Partner Group (E+P) holds the majority share of topsystem Systemhaus GmbH. The merger offers great potential for both companies, as international expansion is to be further intensified with a focus on tapping into new markets. In addition to this, topsystem's industry expertise in combination with E+P's warehouse competence opens up the opportunity to develop pioneering solutions for the logistics and aviation markets in future. Following the share acquisition, topsystem is continuing to do business as an independent company.
"As part of succession planning, we were looking for a partner who could continue to pursue our growth strategy, especially in global markets. We were specifically seeking a partner with medium-sized company structures and a matching corporate philosophy. In addition to this, we wanted all three of our existing divisions - Logistics, Healthcare and Aviation - to continue to be operated a single business. With Ehrhardt + Partner, we have found an established company, which exactly meets our requirements", says Dietrich von der Ahe, topsystem's managing director of many years, who is retiring after 20 years in company management. "With this merger, we are providing our employees, customers and sales partners with a solid future perspective. Numerous synergy effects can be used due to the E+P Group's industry know-how as well as the technological proximity of our products. We have clearly demonstrated this in several joint projects and intend to continue developing it in a targeted way." Following the acquisition of shares by E+P, topsystem is continuing to do business independently as a Logistics and Aviation expert.
The merger serves to strengthen topsystem: "We are confident that, together with E+P, we can responsibly and successfully guide all of our company divisions into the future", says Franz-Josef Leuchter, topsystem's remaining managing director of Aviation, of the strategy. E+P will be using its long-standing industry expertise and international know-how for further development of topsystem's products. In addition to this, by jointly using the global sales channels of both companies, they will be ideally positioned to enter new markets in order to fully utilize their existing innovative potential.
