The 11th international forklift driver tournament, organised by Linde, took place in Aschaffenburg, Germany between 14th and 16th of September. Representatives of 19 countries participated, including teams from Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Estonia, Bulgaria, Poland, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Check Republic, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, USA and China.
RosLogistics representative, Ruslan Nabiullin, who won the Russia-wide stage of the competition, participated as a member of the Russian team. The fight was very intense and the tournament table position of our team was changing from stage to stage. To qualify, it was required to take an unstable pallet with a forklift to the other end of the field, and after that – to move a circle, placed on a base. All tasks were to be carried out within a limited space and precisely along a laid-out route. Having successfully qualified, our team reached semi-final! During semi-final, the entrants had to pass each other a bar with rings that was placed on the forks of the forklifts. Unfortunately, the bar fell and the precious time was lost, so we did not make it all the way to the final. Still, the Russian team took the 5th place, which is, without any doubt, is a very honourable result.
During the tournament there was also a corporate team competition, where RosLogistics participated for the first time. The fight was between teams of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Continental, Knauf, Lorenz, Liebherr, ABB, BLG Logistics, SMP, Frosta, SMIA,Aceites Abril, Altmuhltaler, DB, Ausa. RosLogistics was the only Russian company who took part in the competition. It was a great honour to represent our company in an international tournament. RosLogistics’s team maintained the high standard!
