Neoflex has drawn conclusions from cooperation with PEK company on maintenance solutions based on IBM BPM-platform. It has also provided the support and development system of e-document management on the base of Alfresco-platform.
PEK is one of the biggest Russian cargo companies focusing on transportation of package freights. The staff of the company is over 7000 employees. Branch network spreads out over the territory of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. The IBM BPM-software provides the optimization of the main business-process of transport-logistics company, i.e. to order processing on receiving and sending goods.
Recently the information had been processing through several platforms depending on the quantity and variety of cargo transportation business-processes. It was partially distributed geographically because of the wide branch network. IBM BMP-platform has allowed uniting the sources of different data, events and documents which appear while order processing on cargo receiving and transportation, to coordinate the parallelism and sequence of the processes and to provide the operating information flow in decision-making centers.
Another promising direction of cooperation between the companies is Alfresco-platform based decision-update on control the unique document e-archive comprised of the photos taken on different stages of freightage. The unique web-interface designed by Neoflex specialists has resolved the task of storage and processing huge data volumes related to cargo receiving, round control, loading-unloading operations, etc. It has also cut time for access to common database from several hours to several seconds.
Michael Grablev, IT-general manager, PEK: "IT-decision designed by Neoflex is an effective working environment which includes all the necessary tools for automation and optimization of cargo transportation business processes. This cooperation let us realize at full extent the best practices of IBM for implementing BMP decisions and avoiding some previous "rough" decisions resulted in additional workforce and some risks. Thus our system has become more self-sustainable, effective and prompt for further development".
Denis Knyazev, IT-maintaining manager, Neoflex: "The cooperation with PEK is a new and interesting experience in the sphere of implementing and maintaining IBM BMP not in banking or financial sector but in the logistics. We have realized the flexibility of the given business platform and have illustrated dramatically its advantages in competitive environment.
