A Russian developer and manufacturer of transport monitoring equipment Galileosky began supplying the Brazilian division of LafargeHolcim. It is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in the world.
Galileosky devices help to ensure the safety of the drivers. According to the statistics, a car is stolen in Brazil once per 10 minutes. However, the local companies do not use dashboard cameras or other recording devices inside the vehicles because of the threat to the drivers' lives. Devices of the Russian developer track the vehicle's location. In addition, they are also able to detect GSM-jamming and manage to send a point to a server before the stolen car is driven to the box to be disassembled for parts.
Another function of the devices utilized by LafargeHolcim is control of the drivers' schedules. Tachographs are not used in Brazil, therefore Galileosky GPS tracking devices control the work and rest periods of drivers in accordance with the local legislation.
LafargeHolcim is represented in 80 countries and employs over 80 thousand people.
Julia Rocca, Business Development Officer Galileosky:
— LafargeHolcim's interest is caused by the uniqueness of the Galileosky solutions relative to Latin American markets. These are, first and foremost, the exclusive developments of the company — the CAN-Scanner tool and the Easy Logic technology. They allow to receive real-time data on the operation of vehicle components and set various reactions of the device to external events in order to ensure the safety of the driver and the cargo.
