We continue the series of articles from P.V.
Dear readers! We present to your attention the first issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2025. First of all, we would like to draw readers' attention to our new partner R1 Development, a development company that creates a new generation environment and specializes in the construction of industrial, logistics, commercial and residential real estate. One of the projects of R1 Development is the Druzhba industrial park network.
Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
In the end of February the pilot project was successfully launched. Robotization of business-processes began from FM Logistic customer support service.
RPA technology (Robotic process automation) is based on the use of software robots and artificial intelligence: it undertakes routines previously performed manually with the algorithm of human actions used as the basis.
The bot integrated to the server does the following: it receives an e-mail request from a customer with an Excel document containing identification numbers attached to it. The customer needs the data on the driver and vehicle for their system in Mercury FGIS. The bot opens the e-mail, downloads the document and searches the transport system database using the data provided, then forms a response e-mail and sends it to the customer.
Currently FM Logistic is developing its own Competence Center for RPA development and further application for several areas: finance (for example, routine tasks in SAP and 1C), transport (processing of customer orders) and warehouse (automated uploading of information on the goods into customer databases).
Two more cases, which are being tested now, have been developed at FM Logistic for Transport Department. One of the bots works upon request: re-emails pallet labels to customer. The other automatically e-mails information on the orders to customer without any request. Besides, two more cases are being developed to fulfill the following warehouse tasks: changing of stock keeping units parameters in the WMS, reconciliation of data (goods dimensions) with customer documents, as well as automated uploading of information into the customer goods database, changing statuses of the orders.
It is planned to integrate all the tested cases to the server in the nearest future for autonomous work, as well as develop more cases and increase the number of robots.
