Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
One of the exclusive complexes in the company «Logoprom” is a port of oversize loads situated on the Oka river in the industrial area of Dezrzhinsk.
Beforetime, it was a member of one of the largest region enterprises “Chimmash”. When the enterprise ceased its activity the port was a subject for plunder and inevitable destruction, however the holding has found strength to reconstruct the port so it continued its work in the interests of country's economics.
Besides its emplacement and water zone which can accommodate the vessels of different types, the port has an unique cargo equipment for load handling with outsize loads up to 640 tons.
These are two gantry cranes MAGUE (Portigal) with the lift capacity each 320 tons which can function simultaneously.
Nowadays the port is actively accommodating and accumulating loads/cargoes with the weight about 70 tons each on its unloading area in order to send them to its consumers by water way just after the navigation opening.
Considering the fact that the port is situated 30km from the Oka estuary, the cargoes can be delivered by water to the ports of the five seas: the Caspian, the Black, the Azov, the White and the Baltic.
To ship cargoes by other way than water is much more expensive and sometimes impossible.
The activity of holding “Logoprom” lets the enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod region enter the new markets including the markets of other countries.
Now “Logoprom” is focusing on large infrastructural projects. They include building of new container terminals, expanding of river ports activities, fairly considering, that it will attract attention of investors and manufacturers to the region.
«Our main aim is to make exactly Nizhny Novgorod region the largest logistics center of the enormous region from Moscow on the west till Ural on the east”, - says Andrey Ivanov, Director General of holding “Logoprom”.
