Dear readers! The tenth issue of LOGISTICS journal opens with a large article dedicated to the results of the BRICS Business Forum, held on October 18, 2024 in Moscow. Yulia Kislova, Director of Agency Market Guide LLC and publisher of LOGISTICS journal, attended the event and prepared an article where she paid special attention to international trade and logistical connectivity of the countries of the association. As a general contractor, the steelworks company Mostostal Kraków S.A. has entrusted BEUMER Group with the delivery of four high-capacity belt bucket elevators for the LafargeHolcim Ltd. cement plant in Kujawy, Poland. These systems are part of a project to improve the production and the quality of cement blends.
Mostostal Kraków S.A. will provide LafargeHolcim Ltd. with cement silos as well as the corresponding conveying technology. The high-capacity belt bucket elevators of BEUMER Group with centre distances of up to 50 m enable a conveying capacity of 350 t/h, which is ensured by the special belt design of the BEUMER steel wire belts.
At BEUMER Group, the Center of Competence (CoC) for the cement industry is responsible for the project. The CoC enables the single-source provider to supply suitable systems at a constant high quality level worldwide. The CoC was able to implement the specific design criteria precisely. With a local BEUMER Group company office present in Poland, Mostostal Kraków S.A. and LafargeHolcim Ltd. always have a competent partner on site. The systems will go into operation at the end of 2017.
