8th of June marked the grand opening of Liebherr Repair and Warehouse Complex in Kuzbass

The new repair and warehouse complex became the third Russian center for the repair of Liebherr equipment in the territory of the Russian Federation.

On June 8, 2017, the grand opening of the Liebherr Repair and Warehouse Complex took place near the city of Belovo, in the Kemerovo region. Construction of the complex started in 2014, the volume of investments in the project amounted to over 20 million euros.

It is not accidental that Kuzbass was selected as a location for the new complex. Since 1920, Kuznetsk coal basin has been actively developing. Current coal reserves are around 600 bln. tons. The volume and quality of the Kuzbass coal rank among the highest in the world. With production output over 200 mln. tons of coal per annum (60% of total production in Russia) Kuzbass rightfully bears the title of the heart of the Russian coal industry. 

Over 300 pieces of Liebherr equipment are working in the region. Among them are 86 mining excavators, 205 pieces of earthmoving equipment, 16 mobile cranes and 1 concrete pump.

The Kuzbass Repair and Warehouse Complex was built primarily to provide continuous service support for Liebherr equipment in the Kemerovo region and Siberia. The complex has all necessary facilities for Liebherr equipment maintenance and has a large warehouse for sufficient number of spare parts and components. The complex is prepared for Liebherr Reman program of the components restoration along with regular trainings of staff and service personnel of Liebherr customers.  

The 8,200 m² building of the complex accommodates repair workshop and paint booth (4,000 m²), warehouse (3,000 m²) and offices for up to 120 employees. Land area of the complex totals 6,4 Ha.

The opening ceremony was attended by the regional administration of Kemerovo, members of Liebherr family, liebherr clients and employees. The grand opening was followed by a traditional Road Show and exposition of various models of Liebherr equipment.

Expansion of Liebherr's presence in Russia

The Kuzbass Repair and Warehouse Complex is a third Liebherr enterprise of that size in the Russian Federation. Along with them, the company has 7 regional centers, 22 sales offices and 44 warehouses, which provide sales and maintenance of the entire range of Liebherr equipment in Russia. The company also has two enterprises in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Novgorod Oblast: Liebherr Aerospace Nizhny Novgorod, producing components for the aerospace industry, and Liebherr Nizhny Novgorod, the production program of which includes elements of steel structures for earthmoving equipment and tower cranes for the supply of company’s enterprises in Europe. Liebherr Nizhny Novgorod is the center of the Liebherr Reman components restoration program in Russia, ensuring the prompt replacement of the most important units for industrially restored ones.
