You have got a new issue of the Russian Logistics Journal ‒ 2017. It is designed to acquaint the audience with the activities of the Russian-speaking journal ‒ “Logistics”, which has been published in the Russian Federation for more than 20 years, as well as the achievements of the Russian logistics in 2016.
The recovery of the economic situation in Russia had become obvious by April, many companies are moving away from the preserving strategy to business development. Along with production, the flow of goods is growing, the number of orders is increasing, financial indicators of the companies are getting better, though slowly. Against this background, the “LOGISTICS” journal presents the issue dedicated to new technologies in logistics.
Transport is the engine of any economy. Its condition influences the acceleration or deceleration of the development of the country, it can be a driver or a brake on the development of the economy and affects the functioning of any region. The territory of Russia is separated by 9 time zones, so the transport condition is of particular importance for the country. Many problems of the country are connected with the uneven development of the transport infrastructure, in recent years the lag in the application of modern transport technologies has been added to them.
The second issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal in 2017 is devoted to the interaction of logistics and retail, and the problems arising out of their cooperation. The information placed in the issue describes the development of the retail market and related areas, and will be of interest to the employees of the structures mentioned.
Organizing Committee of the XX Moscow International Logistics Forum (MMLF 2017) addressed to the readers of the first issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal.
MMLF, which takes place for the 20th time this year, has become a symbol of logistics in Russia and a landmark not only for the professional logistics community of the country, but also for the biggest industry experts from the EU countries and the USA.
The Subcommittee on logistics was established as a part of the Committee on Transport and Forwarding of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oleg Nikolaevich Kurbatov, the Editor-in-chief of the “LOGISTICS” journal has been included in this Subcommittee. Professor Oleg Dunayev will be in charge of the activities of the Subcommittee.
Yulia Kislova, Director of the "Market Guide Agency ", PhD of Economics, spoke at the Gaidar Forum 2017 on the topic "Development of methodology for assessing the tourist flows to the territory of Moscow and contribution of tourism to the GRP" in the framework of the expert discussion on the theme "Tourism. Economics. Education".
