Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
On June 14, 2016 'Yulia Kislova, the Director of the “Market Guide Agency”, spoke at the meeting of the Dissertation Council D 212.049.02 as an official opponent of the thesis of Denis Alexandrovich Pustokhin on the theme: “Materials Flows Management in Intralogistics Systems at Industrial Enterprises” on competition of a PhD degree in Economics, specialty 08.00.05 “Economics and National Economy Management: Logistics”. The scientific supervisor of the thesis is Tatyana Anatolyevna Rodkina, Doctor of Economics, professor of the Logistics Chair of the State University of Management. Alexey Germanovich Nekrasov, Doctor of Economics, professor of Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University was the first opponent.
In her speech, Yulia Kislova emphasized the urgency and complexity of the chosen theme of the thesis, especially at the present time when the industrial enterprises operate under conditions of unstable economic environment, high-risk, high volatility in exchange rates and other factors that adversely affect the competitiveness of the products. “Enterprises of manufacturing sectors, (this sector of industry was taken by the dissertator as a case study), where the dissertator tested the provisions of his thesis, are of particular importance because the problems in the intralogistics management lead not only to a decrease in the efficiency of the functioning and competitiveness of individual companies, but also of the entire real sector of the country’s economy as a whole” ‒ said Yulia Kislova. Yulia Kislova underlined that, in general, the thesis work by D.A. Pustokhin makes a good impression and is completed in nature: the author has formulated the problem, posed and solved a number of problems. The main results of the work, that contain scientific novelty, are the requirements for intralogistics systems of a manufacturing plant, which the author developed, (to optimize the inventory levels of stocks at the junctions of the material flow motion, to increase the flexibility of the production system, to create a rational set of logistics procedures to ensure an optimum level of quality of the material flow components) in the agreement with the end results of its operations, as well as the developed selection model of logistics concepts with the implementation to various industries on the basis of the generated key parameters of the intralogistics system of manufacturing enterprise and logistics concepts. It’s of great value, that the solutions concerning the implementation of logistics concepts are clearly shown by the example of various industries such as food processing, textiles, footwear, manufacture of wood products, the production of vehicles.
As an official opponent, Yulia Kislova has formulated a number of remarks and recommendations, which D.A. Pustokhin, a dissertator, will be able to take into account in his future research work.
According to the Dissertation Council Decision Denis Alexandrovich Pustokhin was awarded the degree of PhD in Economics on specialty 08.00.05 “Economics and Management of National Economy: the Logistics”.
On behalf of the editorial board of the journal and the “Market Guide Agency” we congratulate Tatyana Anatolyevna Rodkina, the scientific supervisor of a dissertator, on the occasion of successful defense of the thesis by her student and wish her success in her future scientific work!
