Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
Oleg Nikolaevich Kurbatov, Editor in Chief, Ph.D. in Geography, addressed to the readers of the journal from the pages of the seventh issue of the “LOGISTICS”. According to him, the role of transport logistics in the modern world cannot be overestimated, it really provides the satisfaction of consumer demands, emerging as part of economic and social processes while moving goods and services around the world. For Russia, with its vast territories all modes of transport are important, but the main leaders are rail and road freight transportation. As part of the transport complex both industries occupy a leading position in the development dynamics and the services demand. However, though rail and road freight transportation have good prospects, they demonstrate a lot of problems. Solution of emerging problems requires both internal efforts of transport companies and real participation of Federal structures in the process.
On the pages of the present issue we have tried to publish materials, aimed at finding solutions to these problems.
We present to your attention the article by Pavel Popov, Igor Miretsky and Elena Loginova "Modeling the vehicle fleets network on the territory of the Russian Federation region.” The model, proposed by the authors of the article, makes it possible to determine the location of the vehicle fleets on the territory of the Russian Federation region. In their article Oksana Rozhko and Vadim Khomenko offer a methodology of criteria assessment of the region logistic capacity, which gives the opportunity to objectively assess the share of each region in an integrated transport and logistics system and optimize its operation through the creation of developed structure of logistics centers.
Leonid Mirotin Alexander Yamenskov, Evgeny Lebedev and Sergei Fedoseenko, consider transit opportunities of the south of Russia and the recovery of the transport logistics service of the Republic of Crimea. Klavdy Kornyakov informs about the role of Customs Services in the development of transport and logistics corridors. In his article Sergey Delz reveals typical shortcomings of the investors in the construction of port and logistics terminals.
An interview with Christoph Beumer, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the BEUMER Group company, will be of great interest for the readers as he will inform about the main trends in intralogistics.
