Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
Oleg Protsenko, Doctor of Economics, professor, Rector’s Advisor of RANHiGS under the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Director of the “Institute of Management and Marketing” Faculty, addressed to the readers with his words of welcome. According to his opinion, the last spring month of 2016 is completing the peculiar period of uncertainty in the development of the Russian economy. He has also underlined, that the trends which are taking shape due to imposing the western sanctions, the sharp turn of the economic links to the East in particular, will be increasing. That is why in the nearest future it will be necessary to try and to find new points of increase especially in logistics. Along with this process it will be necessary to wok and to improve the efficiency of the business-processes and lower the costs. The fifth issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal is devoted to examining these processes.
The authors of the fifth issue are studying the optimization problems in different spheres of logistics. For example, Andrey Nosko and Eugeny Safronov give the examples of the standard pallet intralogistics solutions to automatize and mechanize the transport operations in the warehouses. In their paper Victor Psiola and Alexander Strogalov state some principles to develop algorithms of packing with heuristic quality functionals, which were developed and put into operation by Parcker 3d company at different enterprises.
The articles dedicated to leading exhibitions in the branch will be of great interest to the specialists in logistics who try to improve the efficiency of business-processes in their companies.
