The ninth issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2017 has been published

In recent years the problems of the logistics technologies development in the fields of transport, industry and business has acquired a strategic character. The regulatory framework for standardizing processes and managing the life cycle of complex systems is being developed, much attention being paid to the continuity of supply chains. Today Russian businessmen face difficulties for loading warehouses and logistics centers, when redirecting flows of goods to the domestic market, that is why the stability and safety of the transport and logistics complex operation in the Russian Federation is more urgent now than ever.

To ensure smooth operation of the logistics industry is impossible without specialists and scientists, who design and implement modern logistics systems. On the pages of the ninth issue of the LOGISTICS journal, we have combined the articles and information materials that will undoubtedly contribute much to the solution of this important problem. 

We offer our readers two interviews. The first is with Nikita Pushkarev, Commercial Director of GEFCO Russia, who told us about the company's development and development of the Russian transport services market. In the second interview with Andrei Markevich, General Director of Avialogistics, we are discussing a new path and the latest trends in the development of the Russian logistics. 

An integral part of logistics systems is warehousing, which is involved in each stage of the product life cycle, from production to sale to the consumer. The warehouse should be constantly upgraded to meet increasing regulatory requirements and respond fast to the market changes. Dmitry Khaydukov says in his article about the prerequisites for modernization. 

To continue the warehouse themes Andrei Isayev invites readers to find practical solutions for the topology and technology of various warehouses. Andrey Ivanov talks about the importance of the warehouse system balancing in designing practice. Alexander Volochkov suggests using the algorithm for optimal choice of free gates and a section of the loading-unloading area for trucks. In his article Kirill Tolmachev raises the issue of business planning of the activity related to the creation or operation of the logistic infrastructure objects. 

The other topics are also considered on the pages of this issue. Anastasia Vartazarova, on the example of the Voronezh region, considers a logistic industrial park as a tool to increase logistic services in the regional supply chain.

Vladimir Puchenkov in the article "Communication of digital and physical: blockchain, RFID, IoT" suggests increasing the efficiency of the supply chain using information technology. Nadezhda Filippova, Vladimir Belyaev and Alexander Vasilevsky are considering options for vehicle fleet outsourcing, as well as possible benefits when implementing them.
