On its pages, we summarize the results of the international exhibition of logistics, transport, warehouse equipment and Logistika Expo, which became the main premiere of this year. Our editorial staff took part in the event, as a result of which they made useful acquaintances and found new readers. In the latest issue, we continue the topic of automation and robotization in the industry.
Dear friends! We present to your attention the fifth issue of Logistics for 2024. Like you, our dear readers, we see an increasing trend of digitalization and automation of the logistics industry, and more and more authors are paying attention to it.
Vladimir Stepanov, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Chair of Business and Logistics in Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, addressed to the readers of the journal from the pages of the ninth issue of the “LOGISTICS”. In his view, in recent years, the problems of development and application of logistics technology in the fields of transport, industry and business have acquired a strategic character. Vladimir Stepanov believes that, the Russian business is experiencing difficulties to load warehouses and logistics centers and to redirect flows to the domestic market, so the safety and stability of the transport complex of the Russian Federation is becoming increasingly important.
Smooth operation of the transport sector is not possible without the creative work of specialists and scientists in the field of logistics, who design and operate modern logistics systems.

Analysis of the current and future goods traffic, which pass near the cluster, as well as the international transport corridors is presented in the article by Vladimir Devyatkov and Munir Nazmeev, who consider the conceptual principles for building the transport and logistics system, the Kama innovative territorial production cluster being considered as an example. Sergey Delz and Anna Sinitsyna examine the coordinated functioning of the ports of the Crimea with the complex of inland waterways of Central Russia, including the Volga basin from Astrakhan to Tver and propose considering the scheme, according to which the ports of the Crimea would act as cargo-distribution centers – hubs. In their article Svetlana Nikulina and Aleksandr Gapochka reveal tools for enhancing the competitiveness of container terminals in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
