Dear readers! We are pleased to present to you the eleventh issue of the journal in 2025. There are a lot of relevant and useful materials in the issue, which, hopefully, will not be ignored.
Dear readers! In September the CeMAT RUSSIA exhibition was held, which showed everyone that innovations and robotics are increasingly penetrating the logistics industry. We can safely say that many technologies are tested here, and only then they go out into the world. However, it is not only CeMAT RUSSIA that demonstrates the prevalence of the digital agenda.
Dear readers! This is the ninth issue of the journal, which turned out to be very rich and diverse. Traditionally, the issue is opened by an analyst. The material by Alina Nasyrova from the Market Guide Agency, dedicated to investments in warehouse complexes in Russia, recalls the importance of developing logistics infrastructure for the integrated development of regions.
Oleg Kurbatov, Editor-in-Chief of the “LOGISTICS” journal, PhD of Geography, addressed to the readers from the pages of the tenth issue of the journal. According to him, the active development of new technologies and IT-communications, the emergence of a variety of goods and services, increased requirements for quality of customer service leads to unpredictable changes in the basic characteristics of the material, information and financial flows. Under such conditions, the ability of businesses and government to adapt to changes in the environment plays a vital role, because it is the factor that affects their prosperity. Therefore, it is very important to receive timely and reliable information beginning with classical supply chains and ending with innovations. The “LOGISTICS” journal and its electronic resources are sure to be such sources of information.
On the pages of the tenth issue we keep on speaking about the themes that concern all the logistics community.
We recommend to get acquainted with the actual interview with top officials of the DPD company in Russia and the CIS countries: Sergei Kruglov, Andrei Mayorov and Nikolay Voinov, who will talk about the history and evolution of the company, peculiarities of doing logistics business in our country, trends and prospects of its development in comparison with European countries.
Sergey Delz and Anna Sinitsyna, in a series of articles devoted to the revitalization of the Russian inland waterways, continue to consider the opportunities that are open to the river transport in cooperation with the seaports. Continuing the theme, Alexander Gapochka explores the concept of a port-hub, seeking to define its role and importance in the transport system. Leonid Mirotin and his colleagues show practical results of using the logistic approaches while solving the problems of passenger logistics.
In conclusion, we would like to congratulate Victor Ivanovich Sergeyev, Professor, Guru of logistics, our colleague and great friend, with the 70th anniversary, and wish him good health and success.
