Dear friends! We present to your attention the fifth issue of Logistics for 2024. Like you, our dear readers, we see an increasing trend of digitalization and automation of the logistics industry, and more and more authors are paying attention to it.
May 21, 2015 Julia Kislova, Director of the Market Guide Agency, was speaking at a meeting of the Dissertation Council D 501.002.02 at Lomonosov Moscow State University as an official opponent of the thesis of Tatiana Glushko on the theme: "Improvement of the procurement processes management in the market of excisable products", presented for the scientific degree of PhD in economics in the specialty 08.00.05 "Economics and National Economy Management: Management".
The scientific supervisor of the thesis is Irina Rachkovskaya, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. The first opponent was Boris Anikin, Doctor in economics, Professor, Head of Logistics Chair of the State University of Management.
In her speech, Julia Kislova emphasized the relevance and complexity of the dissertation topic, as well as the fact that the markets of excisable products, in terms of procurement management, are of high complexity, have specific features, high risks and high degree of importance for the state: «The market of alcoholic beverages, where the applicant conducted the study, is of particular importance, as the problems in the management of procurement activities, the lack of use of the process approach result in reduced efficiency of individual enterprises of the alcohol market and the deterioration of their economic performance, but also lead to the reduction of tax revenues for the state budgets of different levels».
Julia Kislova said that, in general, thesis work makes a good impression and is complete in nature: the author formulated the problem, posed and solved a number of problems. The main results, that contain scientific novelty, is the scheme of the process of procurement management, designed by Tatiana Glushko, based on the process approach, the specific recommendations for improving the process of procurement management in the market of alcoholic products were proposed, and what is especially valuable, the economic efficiency of the proposed recommendations was shown and justified.
As an official opponent, Julia Kislova has formulated a number of remarks and recommendations which the applicant T. Glushko will be able to take into account in her future research.
