Dear Readers! We have published issue № 8 of the "LOGISTICS" journal for 2015

   Oleg Kurbatov, the editor-in-chief, addressed to the Readers. He believes, changes in the domestic business, lead to global changes in the supply system of the country. The crisis in relations with the West and the policy of import substitution requires changes in infrastructure. So, the total renewal of fixed assets, of course, requires huge investments, which are now in deficit," ‒ said Oleg Kurbatov.

   Andrej Nosko and Evgeny Safronov deal with an important aspect of logistics in their article "Optimizing a simulation model of the kitting process, using ABC-analysis (the automated storage systems are considered as an example)". Logical-mathematical model, developed and optimized by the authors, allows to calculate the process efficiency for orders kitting, based on ABC analysis, taking into consideration various distribution of commodity groups.
