Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
The second issue of the journal in 2016 is a theme one and is devoted to the logistics for online and offline retailers. E-commerce is quite relevant now- today it is the e-commerce that is one of the most promising lines of business. Nevertheless, the efficiency of e-commerce depends substantially on how well the company has arranged logistics processes and their information provision, as well as the delivery of the orders to the customers. In her article "Solution of the logistics problems in e-commerce" Natalia Pletneva tells the readers how logistics specialists can help online trading. In his interview Cedric Amblar, MOLCOM commercial director, highlights the trends and forecasts of the e-retail sector in the Russian market.
Still important is the question of import substitution. The imposition of sanctions against Russia has led to the reorientation of the economy. It was necessary to establish new financial and economic relations, which, of course, affected the logistics. The recent problems with the transit of goods through Poland and the Ukraine have forced companies to develop new alternative logistics routes and look for local suppliers and customers. It is likely that in the near future we shall see the redistribution of cargo flows from the most popular now road traffic to rail and sea transportation. At the same time a common problem for both e-commerce, and the import substitution task is the level of logistics development in the regions of the country. Infrastructure development differs greatly from region to region, which does not allow customers to improve the service levels and reduces the overall business competitiveness. Yuri Smirnov in his article "Import substitution in the mirror of patent logistics" highlights the issues of import substitution, Yulia Kislova dwells on the problems and prospects of regional logistics development.
"LOGISTICS" journal continues publishing the English version of the digest, giving the possibility for logistics science and practice to reach the international level.Today Digest is, in fact, the only way of communication between the Russian logistics community and the international counterparts.
