Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Victor Sergeev, Doctor of Economics, professor, Head of the Chair of Supply Chain Management in the National Research University Higher School of Economics, addressed to readers with his introductory word. Victor Sergeev summed up the results of 2015. According to him, «LOGISTICS» tries to embrace all the areas of logistics as before, covering important events in the life of the country and in the logistics of the world. Despite the crisis phenomena that affected everyone, «LOGISTICS» is trying to expand the geography of its work, covering all the regions of Russia up to the Far East. The journal is known in the CIS countries and abroad, different specialists, involved in work and research in the field of logistics, for example: entrepreneurs and managers, specialists in logistics supply services, sales and marketing, transport managers at the industrial enterprises, management personnel in depots and warehouses of wholesale and retail trade, cargo terminals, shipping companies and firms, logistics teachers and students ‒ read the journal with great interest. In 2015 «RUSSIAN LOGISTICS JOURNAL», ‒ the first Digest of the journal in English ‒ was published, and during the year it was presented at the international logistics exhibitions. The Digest included the best analytical and scientific articles published in the Russian version of the journal in 2014‒2015. Through this event «LOGISTICS» not just expanded its readership, but also increased the interest to Russia among European scientific community. The «LOGISTICS» journal will continue the tradition to publish the digest in 2016.
The editorial staff continues to expand the themes of the journal, covering developing industries ‒ e-commerce, classic retail, chemical industry, machinery, military industry, agriculture. In 2015 several theme issues, dedicated to the online and offline retail, warehouse and transportation logistics, the logistics of tourism, were published. First of all this is done for the benefit of readers, since the grouping of material relating to a certain topic facilitates its perception and makes reading more interesting, this practice will be continued in 2016.
As far as the year of 2015 is coming to an end, the editorial staff of «LOGISTICS» thanks their partners, sponsors and members of the editorial board for the great work they carried out during the year. Together with you, we will be able to improve the scientific level of the journal and to implement our plans for «LOGISTICS» to join one of the European systems of scientific citation.
