Annotation. The article considers the prospects for the development of the coal industry and its export potential. The facts of the development of mass coal transportation by rail in the direction of port transport hubs are presented. It is proposed to start implementing a large-scale project to develop a multimodal transport scheme for the transportation of coal for export with the use of river transport along the rivers of the Amur basin.
