Annotation. The article highlights the problem of identifying and evaluating factors that have a significant impact on the value of the wagon component of the freight railway tariff. An econometric modeling method is proposed as an approach to the solution. The functional dependence between the wagon component of the freight railway tariff and the components influencing the change in the wagon component of the freight railway tariff is reflected. The influence of the indicators on the operating rate of the freight railway tariff is estimated. A model for determining the operating rate has been developed, taking into account the input of these variable values.
