Dear readers! We present to your attention the fourth issue of the LOGISTICS journal. By tradition, in the April issue we summarize the results of TransRussia | SkladTech 2025. Analysis of the volume and structure of tourist flows to the region (the case of Moscow): methodology and evaluation issues

An article presents tourist flow volume assessment methods widely used in foreign and Russian practice, identifies the main problems complicating the definition of tourist flow volume in the Russian regions, either inbound flow or domestic one. Author discusses the methodology of tourist flow volume assessment on the basis of comparison of the transport statistic data characterizing the volume of passenger arrivals to the region, and the statistics of tourist accommodation in hotels and other collective accommodation facilities, in the context of Moscow city. The article also presents the results of appraisal and calculates the volume of tourist flow to Moscow city in 2013–2014. These pilot studies require further work aimed at improving methodological approaches to the assessment of the tourist flow, approach specification, etc.
