The fifth issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020 has been published

Dear readers! We present to your attention the fifth issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020. The events of recent months show that due to innovations the logistics industry opens up new opportunities for all the participants, and companies acquire a number of competitive advantages. Providers of modern solutions such as COMITAS play an important role in this process. On the pages of the journal we inform about the implementation of a large-scale project for one of the leaders in the express delivery market, thanks to which the company managed to increase its capacity fivefold. 

Maxim Manchenko examines the express delivery market in terms of economic dominance. In his article, he shows the stratification of express carriers into three levels, analyzing the logic of their interaction and predicting the dynamics of the sector under condition of a pandemic.

Victoria Efimova and Irina Pustokhina study the impact of the epidemic, caused by the new coronavirus infection, on global logistics networks, and give recommendations how to increase the flexibility and sustainability of supply chains under conditions of uncertain demand and the functional cycle.

Vitaly Solodovnikov, within the framework of his article, considers the successful experience in implementing the first stage of the scheduling system for the supply chain in VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, the world's largest titanium producer.

Dmitry Zavyalov, Olga Saginova, Nadezhda Zavyalova analyze methods for evaluating the parking space in megalopolices to solve the problems of urban infrastructure development, identifying their advantages and disadvantages. 

An important event of the month was the celebration of the 85th anniversary of Leonid Borisovich Mirotin, professor consultant at Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University (MADI), which happened on May 31. We heartily congratulate the professor on his anniversary! We wish good spirits, activity in work, optimism, health and sense of humor!
