Tashkent
71 Russian regions have trade and economic ties with Uzbekistan, while regional Export Centers help small and medium-sized companies expand their presence in the market, as stated by Veronika Nikishina, General Director of Russian Export Center, during the online session, which was held on the eve of the INNOPROM trade fair to take place in Tashkent on April 25-27.
“Uzbekistan is a very promising market and, what is most important, our reliable trading partner. Russian Export Center has always worked towards harnessing the bilateral relations as effectively as possible. It should be noted that consolidation of multiple instruments and agreements achieved at the highest level have driven a fantastic rise in statistical data on our trade and economic cooperation. Most of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have a proactive agenda with respect to Uzbekistan,” said the General Director REC (part of WEB.RF).
According to Veronika Nikishina, Russian companies in Uzbekistan largely enjoy support of Russian Export Center and also begin to localize production in this country in special economic zones, which could become a launching pad for exports into other markets in the future.
