Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA) sent the 3000th train from the beginning of 2018. The container train will follow the route Nuremberg – Chengdu.
The train consisting of 41 40-foot containers follows the basic route of UTLC ERA. The containers will be overloaded from 1435 mm to 1520 mm gauge at the border crossing point Siemianówka (Poland) – Svislach (Belorussia) at container terminal Andrex, and then the train will follow to Dostyk (Kazakhstan).
UTLC ERA launched its regular container service crossing Svislach in March 2018 due to the transit volumes increase in direction China – Europe – China through the territories of The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The total volume of UTLC ERA freight traffic for 11 months of 2018 reached a record high of 245 thousand TEUs demonstrating the growth of 58% in comparison to the similar period last year when this value was 155 thousand TEUs.
In 2017, the mark of 1000th train was reached in August in Brest, in 2016 – in December in Dostyk. Throughout 2017 UTLC ERA sent 2102 trains and 175.8 thousand TEUs, and 101 thousand TEUs – in 2016.
The 1000th train from the beginning of 2018 set off on June 23 and the 2500th – in October.
