Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Berlin, 21 May 2015 – Hamburg AXRO Bürokommunikation Distribution Import Export GmbH, one of the leading distributors of original consumables for all renowned brands, has awarded PSI Logistics GmbH with implementing the PSIwms 3.0 warehouse management system for their logistics centre in Hamburg.
With PSIwms, the northern German wholesaler AXRO will optimise transparency, availability, throughput times and inventory management in its logistics centre and strengthen its cost and process structures. The warehouse management system’s wide-ranging functionality and the reproduction of optimised logistics processes will support the company’s strategic goals and optimisation project.
The contract for PSIwms was awarded following an intensive selection process in which AXRO decided based on the range and depth of the systems’ functions. The high functional coverage of AXRO’s requirements within the standard system as well as the option to configure the system independently in the future, were the decisive factors for choosing the warehouse management system. In addition, future warehouse expansions were already considered in the design of the system. Operations are scheduled to commence in late summer of this year.
AXRO, founded more than 25 years ago, stores more than 6,000 original consumables for printers, copiers, fax and multi-functional devices in Hamburg. From there, the products are shipped to resellers in more than 45 countries.
