JLL has appointed Anders Liljenstolpe as Managing Director of its Russia & CIS business, effective December 3, 2018. He will succeed Tom Devonshire-Griffin, who will join JLL’s International Capital Markets team.
Liljenstolpe is a real estate professional with over 12 years of experience in the Russian market, having worked across different locations including Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kazan. He joins from Finnish real estate investment and development company SRV, where he was the Country Manager for Russia. Previously, he was the Regional Director at IKEA’s Shopping Centres in Russia where he oversaw the company’s real estate strategy focusing on growth and development. Prior to starting his career in real estate, Liljenstolpe served in the Swedish Army for 15 years. He also holds an MBA from Barcelona-based IESE Business School.
Though he will take on a new challenge, Devonshire-Griffin will continue to work with JLL as Executive Chairman of Russia & CIS until April 2019 during the period of leadership transition. Then he will join the International Capital Markets team in London as a part of the International Capital Coverage Group. In his new role, he will work closely with private equity investors identifying new investment opportunities globally.
