First of all, we would like to draw readers' attention to our new partner R1 Development, a development company that creates a new generation environment and specializes in the construction of industrial, logistics, commercial and residential real estate. One of the projects of R1 Development is the Druzhba industrial park network.
Dear readers! We present to your attention the final issue of the LOGISTICS journal in 2024. We have tried to make it rich and interesting. Today, many Russian companies operate under strict sanctions restrictions, which force them to reorient logistics flows. One of the possible solutions to this problem may be the Russia – Mongolia – China economic corridor. Details can be found in the article by Alexandra Kazunina.
The 3PL-provider launched a project for Rive Gauche
FM Logistic became Rive Gauche’s logistics partner in the part of consolidation operations for Moscow city and for the regions. FM Chekhov platform performs warehousing operations of consolidated deliveries from cosmetics manufacturers and split shipments to Rive Gauche stores.
The One-roof solution ensures maximum efficiency for retailer and supplier’s cooperation, as the goods are stored at the same warehouse.
Whereas previously the products were sent to the Rive Gauche distribution centre for consolidation and further deliveries, now that the company has moved to FM Logistic’s warehouse complex, consolidation operations are performed right there.
The solution not only allows to reduce the supply chain by one link, lowering significant transportation costs, but also helps to avoid transport-related risks (down time, traffic accidents, less-than-a-truck-load deliveries, etc).
“We not only reduce the costs for our clients, but also lower the amount of harmful emissions thanks to rationalized usage of transport. FM Logistic endeavours to respect high standards for ecological performance and to offer the most up-to-date solutions on cost optimization at all times. The project was launched thanks to the close long-term partnership with many cosmetics producers. It is planned to introduce the One-roof solution for other retail sectors, too”, commented Christophe Menivard, General Director of FM Logistic Russia.
Deciding on the change of logistics services provider in Moscow, Rive Gauche has set itself the following objectives. Firstly, to choose a reliable logistics partner focused on high quality services. Secondly, to optimize the links of company’s supply chain as much as possible thanks to the partnership with a major operator which has sufficient warehousing resources to accommodate all manufacturers within the same space and which already cooperates with many cosmetics producers.
“Basing on the said parameters, we have chosen FM Logistic as our partner and we can summarize our first cooperation experience as follows: we have indeed chosen a reliable, client-oriented 3PL-provider which offered us wide opportunities on optimizing our supply chain and reducing respective costs”, said Natalya Tsykhotskaya, Logistics Director at Rive Gauche.
