Over 500 Pickup parcel shops are currently available for parcel dispatch, deliveries are offered to over 1200 Pickup shops in 480 Russian cities and towns. DPD plans to further expand the Pickup network in Russia by opening another 200 parcel shops before the end of 2017.
Single DPD Shop to Shop tariff rates effective for shipping throughout the country include a number of convenient complimentary options. DPD pre-notifies consignees by SMS or email of the parcel delivery date and informs them of the parcel arrival at the shop. Customers can always track their shipments on the DPD website. Upon parcel arrival at the Pickup shop, DPD provides one-week storage at no extra cost to the customer, so that the consignee could collect it whenever convenient.
With DPD Shop to Shop, bank card or cash payment for COD items is available to online shoppers.
“Even though DPD Shop to Shop is a new service, thousands of parcels have already been shipped by our customers since its launch in July and we are seeing an increasingly positive response to this offer”, comments Leonid Zondberg, Chief Commercial Officer DPD in Russia and CIS, adding: “Customers using DPD Shop to Shop benefit from the convenience of single fixed competitive prices valid for shipping across the country, as well as from knowing the exact date when their parcel will be delivered to the shop. On top of that, the DPD network spanning the whole country makes a difference for a lot of customers: our parcel shops are available to them both in metropolitan areas and in smaller localities”.
