CBRE signed a long-term lease agreement with the first zoo-hypermarket from Czech Republic Dino Zoo in Kapitoliy Leningradskiy shopping -centre in Moscow. The new hypermarket will occupy 1,450 sq m on the zero floor of the shopping centre. The first store will be opened in Q2 2018.
The owner of this brand is Placek Group that work for over 30 years in 210 stores in 5 countries (Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia and Poland).
Dino Zoo Pasaule zoo center of about 3,000 sq m was opened in Riga in April 2017. In addition to the actual store, an arena, a veterinary clinic, a grooming salon for dogs and cats, a conference hall and a unique aquarium made of acrylic glass, which is a miniature seaquarium were included in the new concept.
The concept of a new zoo-hypermarket in Kapitoliy Leningradsky in Moscow has no analogues in the Russian market and will repeat the concept of Dino Zoo Pasaule in Riga in many aspects.
Olga Korolevskaya, Consultant, Moscow Retail Department, CBRE, said: "We are glad that with the joint efforts with ENKA TC and Dino Zoo operator we managed to find a solution to open a large-scale project by Placek Group, despite the fact that high-quality retail space of the required format is quite limited in the Russian market. Interactive stores are being opened in all the segments, where the standard range of products is not the only thing to attract customers. Additional services provided in Dino Zoo stores, will become an entertainment component for the entire shopping center, and will attract children and families, and even the people who do not have pets yet.”
