Baikal-Service TC increased by 50% its storage space in Severnoe Domodedovo

A current tenant of the Severnoe Domodedovo Warehouse Complex, the transport company Baikal-Service, has decided to lease an additional 5,150 sq. m. of warehouse space. As a result, the total warehouse space rented by the company in Severnoe Domodedovo is now 16,000 sq. m. In September 2017, the company signed a lease agreement for 10,900 sq. m. in this complex. This was reported by MLP Management Company, which manages the grade-A Severnoe Domodedovo Warehouse Complex.

Severnoe Domodedovo Warehouse Complex is Russia’s largest storage facility. Its total area is 540,000 sq. m. The complex is located 11 km from the Moscow Ring Road on federal highway M4 (the Kashirskoye Highway), 8 km from the Simferopolskoye highway, 19 km from the A107 highway, and 10 km from Domodedovo Airport. The complex’s tenants include: Iron Mountain, Ulmart, Faberlic, NC Pharm, Hoff, Bridgestone, GLK-Trans, transport company Baikal-Service, Almafood production company, and others. The Kashirsky customs post is located on the territory of Severnoe Domodedovo. Severnoe Domodedovo Warehouse Complex is under the management of MLP Management Company, a leader of Russia's grade-A warehouse real estate market. In total, MLP Management Company manages more than 1.8 million sq. m. of grade-A storage space in active logistical complexes (www.mlprussia.com).

“Last year’s trend- active development of online commerce- has led to the development of companies offering delivery services. This had a positive effect on our tenants. This is already the second deal since the beginning of 2019 with companies in the transport and logistics sector, which have increased their storage space at the Severnoe Domodedovo Production and Logistics Complex,” stated Ilya Pronichkin, the head of MLP Management Company’s Tenant Relations Department.

“With the growth in freight turnover in 2018, and also taking into account further expansion in the company's active geography, we had to increase our storage space in one of the largest distribution centers, Domodedovo, which provides for around the clock deliveries, distribution, and processing of transit cargo. Already today, the logistics infrastructure at Domodedovo’s terminal makes it possible to receive and send more than a hundred trucks daily. With its expansion, we expect to increase turnover at the terminal by 30-40%,” said Alexey Oskin, the Operations Director of Baikal-Service TC LLC.
