The seventh issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020 has been published

Dear readers! We are glad to present you the seventh issue of the journal. On the pages of the journal we continue to discuss current topics of concern with the professional community. 

Today, many companies operating in the logistics services market face a difficult problem of survival during a crisis. However, there are also those who were able to quickly reorganize their activity without stopping their development, for example, the Lorus company. Optimization of the product transportation costs is one of the key issues for manufacturing enterprises in all sectors of the economy. Yevgeny Bogdanov, the Head of the transport section of NOVATEK-AZK, discusses new ways to reduce operating costs by using natural gas as a motor fuel. 

The topic of fraud in cargo transportation is raised by Alexey Kozhevnikov, Deputy Director of LLC "Risk Control", and he also gives recommendations on reducing the risks of cooperation with different carriers.

Olga Matron (Gorchakova) examines the fundamental differences between the concepts of "freight forwarder" and "carrier", analyzing the differences in their rights and obligations, as well as the responsibility of the freight forwarder and the carrier under the contract of freight forwarding and cargo transportation. 

Our authors Leonid Mirotin, Anatoly Pokrovsky, Igor Bashmakov, and Denis Kochegura give their vision of logistics as a basic factor in the organization of social systems in transport. Pavel Popov and Olga Tsekhan propose a model for the formation of optimal transport infrastructure in the region, which is based on the task of searching for the optimal location of transport parks and terminals.
