The eleventh issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal of 2020 has been published

Dear Readers! This year high tension period forced the enterprises of the industry to restructure, to solve a lot of organizational issues in order to ensure uninterrupted work and effective communication with customers and partners. IT companies were the first to adapt to the new environment, but challenges remain. In the eleventh issue of the “LOGISTICS” journal, we discuss these issues, as well as industry trends with Alexei Timashov, CEO of AXELOT. 

To continue the topic, our authors Denis Pustokhin, Ekaterina Klishina, Lidiya Sukhova analyze the impact of digitalization trends on the field of international logistics, showing the changes entailed by the use of new technologies in the logistics business. 

Viktoria Matusevich, Larisa Rogavicienė consider a promising way to improve the inventory management system of a trading enterprise through the concept of Vendor-managed inventory, assess risks and propose actions that should prevent or reduce them.

 In November, Cinfini Advisors organized a round table on procurement outsourcing. The participants discussed the demand for outsourcing services for the procurement function in the Russian market, existing offers and models depending on the needs of the client, and more. The results of the meeting are in an interview with Vladislav Vorobyov, ex-director of operational procurement at Procter & Gamble, consultant at Sinfini Advisors.

Pyotr Kurenkov and co-authors are coming to end with a series of review articles on the development of the maritime segment of the transport market in international logistics, In this article they analyze the events that form the global demand for maritime transport services, trends in the world economy, trade in goods, flows of sea cargo and cargo handling in container ports, open sources being taken into account.
